About Villa Victoria Academy

Villa Victoria Academy is a private, Catholic, college preparatory school for girls in grades 6-12. Villa Victoria offers small class sizes, an award-winning theater program, championship athletic programs, and a superior academic program. Founded and operated by the Sisters of the Religious Teachers Filippini, Villa Victoria is dedicated to the education and empowerment of young women.

The challenge: Increasing giving day engagement with a one person team and limited budget

Villa Victoria Academy faced several challenges in their fundraising efforts. With one person managing both development and admissions budgets and execution, resources were strained. Additionally, their existing giving day platform did not reflect the school’s progress and forward-thinking vision. These issues were impeding the annual fund’s growth, as Villa Victoria had raised a similar amount for the annual fund for nearly ten years. Past campaigns primarily relied on costly and difficult-to-measure mailers, which were not impactful in driving greater engagement.

With 95% of giving day donors interacting with the digital fundraising platform, Gravyty’s customizable and personalized capabilities allowed Villa Victoria to create themed giving days that were visually appealing and aligned with the school’s branding. The Gravyty platform not only facilitated the creation of a more polished and impactful giving site but also enhanced donor data management, thus supporting outreach efforts beyond giving day itself.

The outcome: Consecutive giving days that saw 2x the results

By working closely with the school’s staff, the Gravyty team prioritized a successful Giving Day at Villa Victoria and helped the institution double the dollars raised on their giving day year-over-year. Ninety-five percent of Giving Day dollars raised came through Gravyty’s digital giving platform, Advance, with funds raised doubling from $19,000 to $45,000 year-over-year.

Villa Victoria’s alumnae notices, too, and told staff the new giving day site was as robust and high-quality as their colleges’ giving days. Even better, nearly half of giving day donors gave again six months later, giving on both the spring and fall giving days.
